Mr. Willis Miller

Mr. Willis Miller of Vassar passed away early Wednesday evening April 15, 2015 while at the Saginaw Senior Care and Rehab Center in Saginaw, Willis was 87.

Willis was born in Gilford, Michigan on December 23rd of 1927 and was the son of the Late Jesse and Lydia (Church) Miller. On January the 2nd of 1947 Willis married Miss Beverly Allen. She and Willis celebrated 66 years of marriage before Beverly passed away in August of 2013. Willis was employed for many years with the Buick Motor Division of General Motors. He was also an active member until recently of the Millington Church of the Nazarene, Willis was also an accomplished pilot, he loved flying, and building and rebuilding airplanes. He is a past member of the Michigan Chapter of the Experimental Aircraft Association.

Left to cherish Willis's memory; are his four children and their spouses. David and Cheryl Miller, Frederic and Barbara Miller, Joan Kern, and Jim and Jill Miller. He leaves also his 14 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, a sister and brother in-law Eleanor and Richard Greenfield, and several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Besides his wife and parents Willis is also precededin death by a daughter Linda Mueller in 2000, and a sister Olive.

The family has honored Willis's request and cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial service on Monday April 20, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Millington Church of the Nazarene. The family will greet and receive friends after 10:00 am on Monday. Pastor Ed Kile and David Richey will deliver the eulogy and prayers. Memorial gifts of remembrance can be directed to the church.
