Nancy J. Donnelly

Nancy June Gleason Donnelly
(November 27, 1939 – March 14, 2023)

Nancy June Gleason was born in Millington, Michigan to Gerald and June (Waicek) Gleason. She lived in Millington throughout her youth until meeting, and eventually marrying, Lavern Donnelly in 1956 when they moved to Vassar. Nancy worked at Caro Plastics, Welco Industries, and then TierCon until her retirement in 2003. While raising her family, Nancy enjoyed: camping, fishing, reading, bowling, card playing, watching her soaps and her trips to the casino. Nancy leaves behind her son, Patrick Donnelly (Lorie) of Vassar; granddaughters: Amy Bickel (Tim) of Frankenmuth, Jenny Schiattone (Jason) of Vassar, Tricia Donnelly (Adam Haubenstricker) of Frankenmuth; great-grandchildren: Kayla Pratt (Ben Schramm) of Rhodes, Calista and Addison Bickel of Frankenmuth, Jack Schiattone of Vassar, Landrey Winters (Matt) of Davison; great-great-grandchildren: Gage, Mav and Kash Schramm of Rhodes and Remi Winters of Davison; siblings: Gary Gleason (Mary Jane) of Lapeer, Sally Kline of Vassar, Margo (Bill) Bassett of Vassar, Penny Jacobs of Fostoria; and many, many cousins, nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death are her parents, Gerald and June Gleason and the love of her life, Lavern Donnelly. A special thank you to Jenny for her care over the several years while Nancy’s health declined.

Nancy’s family will welcome guests to Hanlin Funeral Home – Vassar from 3-7 p.m. on Friday, March 17^th, 2023, and again at the funeral home on Saturday, March 18^th, 2023, from 10 a.m. until the time of Nancy’s 11 a.m. funeral service. Immediately following, Nancy will be laid to rest next to her husband, Lavern, in Millington Township Cemetery.
