MILLINGTON – Mr. Phillip Melvin “Phil” Jennings, age 82, our calm, determined, and loving husband, father, grandfather, cousin, and friend passed away peacefully on January 6, 2026, in Largo, Florida.

Phil was born on September 28, 1943, in Saginaw, Michigan, the only child of Melvin & Marian (Smith) Jennings. ON September 28, 1968, he married the love of his life, Luella Murdick. Together they have shared countless memories, raised their three sons Matthew, Elliot, and Jeremy, and celebrated over 57 years of marriage. Phil spent his career with GM - AC as a skilled trades supervisor and earned his bachelor's degree from Flint Jr. College. Phil enjoyed working on projects around the house and on his rental properties. He and Luella enjoyed travelling around the United States and wintered in Florida. A man of faith, Phil was a member of Richfield Church of the Nazarene. Above all, Phil found his greatest joy in spending time with his family.

He is forever loved by his wife, Luella Jennings; sons, Matthew (Sue Holleman) Jennings of Clearwater, FL, Elliot (Sara Taylor) of Independence, MO, and Jeremy (Christie Kilbourn) Jennings of Millington, MI; grandchildren, Catherine Cadotte, Rachael Jennings, Daniel Jennings, and Danielle Kilbourn; as well as a multitude of cousins that he was very close with.

Phil was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin & Marian Jennings.

Funeral services for Phil will be at the Richfield Church of the Nazarene at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2026; visitation at church will begin at 11:00 a.m. and last until the time of service. Luncheon reception to follow at the church.
