VASSAR - Mr. Rex Leon Colman, aged 91, passed away on Wednesday, September 9th, 2026, at Vassar Comfort Care.

Rex was born in Tuscola Township on November 22, 1934, to Leon & Wilhelmina Colman (nee Hyslop). He married the love of his life, Joyce Franko, on September 14, 1968. Together they share countless memories, raised their son, Leon Colman, and celebrated 56 years of marriage before Joyce's passing in February 2025. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired as a mechanic from the City of Vassar.

He is survived by his son, Leon (Vicky) Colman; granddaughter, Emily Johnson; grandson, Alexander Colman; as well as nieces, nephews, and other family members.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce; parents, and siblings.

Private services have been held.
