Richard J. Kralik

Richard "Rick" Kralik, age 56, passed on Tuesday, March 4, 2025. He was born November 30, 1968, the son of late Robert & Carol (Bender) Kralik. Richard enjoyed a good philosophical conversation, but his greatest passions were music and cuisine. Richard spent most of his working years with Joe's Tavern in Empire, MI, and created many fans over the years by serving the community and surrounding area with wonderful menus for weddings and other events. He was raised in the faith of St. Luke's Lutheran Church and was confirmed. Richard's ability with music was truly a gift and it was much of his favorite pastime and pleasure with friends. In the 1990s, Rick played in the Big Rapids area with the band Thunder Bay.

Surviving family include his brother, Robert "Rob" Kralik and many cousins.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at Hanlin Funeral Home in Vassar. Pastor Greg Rowan will officiate. The family will greet friends from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service. A celebration of life will follow at Cork Pine Restaurant in Vassar.
