VASSAR – Mr. Ronald Keith “Ron” Rittenberg, aged 78, our caring, determined, hardworking, and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend went home to his Lord and Savior on August 27, 2026, in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Ron was born on November 22, 1947, in Au Gres, Michigan, to Lloyd & Evelyn Rittenberg (née Barr). He grew up alongside his siblings and graduated from Arenac East High School with the class of 1967. Afterwards he honorably served our nation in the U.S. Army during Vietnam and was discharged in 1969. He was active in the VFW and Vet2Vet. Before retirement, he spent his career as an operator with Consumers Energy at the Thetford Combustion Plant. On April 3, 1981, he wed the love of his life, Beth Brandmair. Together they have shared countless memories, raised children, and celebrated over 45 years of marriage. Ron was an avid camper and loved the outdoors. When visiting the Rittenberg home, one would often find Ron at the table with a cup of coffee and a good conversation to be had. He enjoyed riding his golf cart and visiting his friends. A man of faith, he and Beth are currently members of Frankenmuth Bible Church. Above all, Ron was a proud family man and wore the title of “Grandpa” with tremendous pride. He was his grandchildren’s biggest supporter and fan at their sporting events, recitals, and graduations. He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

Ron is forever loved by his wife, Mrs. Beth Rittenberg; sons: Brian Rittenberg, Bartholomew (Mackenzie) Rittenberg, Caleb (Kelsey) Rittenberg; daughter-in-law, Lisa (Lance) Heinlein; grandchildren: Lucas Anderson, Brandon Rittenberg, Samuel Rittenberg, Alexander Rittenberg, Izayah Rittenberg, Barrett Rittenberg, Leland Rittenberg, Maddie Rittenberg, and Bowen Rittenberg; great-grandchildren: Alexander Anderson, and Elowyn Anderson; brothers: Jack Rittenberg, and James (Sis) Rittenberg; sister-in-law, Gloria Rittenberg; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.

He is reunited with his son, Bradley “Brad” Rittenberg; brother, Robert L. Rittenberg; parents, Lloyd & Evelyn Rittenberg; sister-in-law, Toni Rittenberg; and in-laws, Wilbur “Bill” & Leona Brandmair.
