Ronald P. Brown

Mr. Ronald "Ron" P. Brown, age 87, died Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at Vassar Comfort Care.

Ron was born in Richville, Michigan, on November 12, 1936 to parents Robert & Illa Brown. Ron honorably served in the U.S. Navy on board the U.S.S. Macon (CA-132). On July 20, 1957, he married Carol Lorine Charlotte Sohn. Together they raised their four children, shared countless memories, and celebrated 51 years of marriage before Carol's passing in 2008. Further, Ron was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Vassar.

He is survived by his children: Michael Brown, Linda (Charles) Hare, Christine Brown, and Scott Brown; many grandchildren & great-grandchildren; sister, Janet (Donald) Gleeson; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Ron was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Brown, and his parents.

The memorial service will take place at 11 a.m., Saturday, February 24, 2024, at St. Luke's Lutheran Church (916 W. Huron Ave, Vassar, MI 48768); visitation will begin at 10 a.m. and last until the time of service.
