Mr. Stanley Allen Trusty, 87, was called home to His Lord from Vassar Comfort Care, Vassar, Michigan, on July 30, 2026. Stanley was born on August 11, 1938, in Linton, Indiana and was a life long resident of Morgan County, Indiana.

Stanley graduated from Coal City High School in 1956 and then completed a four year apprenticeship in tool and die making.

On September 28, 1956, Stanley married his High School Sweetheart, Shirley Lee. They would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary this year.

Stanley retired in 1991 after working 35 years at General Motors as a tool and die maker. He was a member of Gasburg Baptist Church since 1962. Stanley was a Boy Scout Leader for 6 years and avid Water skier, Camper, and Fisherman and most of all ‘Master Tinkerer’.

Surviving besides his wife Shirley are two sons, Jerry (Kathryn) and Kenneth (Trena). In addition, four grandchildren Jessica DeWeese, Mallory Trusty, Laura Estes, and Keith (Tori) Trusty and five great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one granddaughter Cassidy Trusty, and parents Grover and Esther Trusty.

Funeral will be held at Light Memorial & Funeral Chapel, Monrovia, Indiana on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, with Pastor Jack Elliot officiating. Visitation will begin at 11:00am with funeral beginning at 12:00 noon. A graveside service and internment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Hall, IN.
