Susan Mae Sharp, born Susan Mae Hastings on December 18, 1956, in Flint, Michigan, passed away on April 2, 2026.

She grew up attending Flint Public Schools and spent many years working as a waitress and bartender at Vassar Bar. Susan was known for her simple and loving nature, which touched everyone who knew her.

Throughout her life, Susan found joy in baking her special no-bake cookies, fishing for frogs with her grandchildren, and watching Little House on the Prairie. Most importantly, she cherished spending time with her family.

Susan is survived by her loving daughter MaryAnn Hastings and her son Gary (Angie) Sharp. Her grandchildren, Brittany Boyd and Kody Sharp, great grandchildren; Ashtyn, Addisyn, Celena, Remy, and Violet. Susan’s brother, Harold Hastings Jr., and sister, Janet Lewis, along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Doris Hastings, her son baby boy Sharp, sisters Debbie Hastings and Flora Wilkinson, and nephews Dwight Hastings and Chris Lynn.

A Celebration of Susan's Life will be held at a later date.
