VASSAR – Mrs. Thelma Mae Holley, age, 81, our caring, kind, supportive, and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away peacefully on January 14, 2026, at Maple Woods Manor of Clio.
Thelma was born on August 3, 1944, in Millington, Michigan, to L.J. & Thelma (Smith) Sebert. She married the love of her life, Floyd Holley, on October 15, 1966, in Vassar. Together they shared countless memories, raised their children, and celebrated 40 years of marriage before Floyd’s passing in 2006. Thelma was a devoted homemaker who loved to sew, bake, and decorate her home. She enjoyed bowling and was in several leagues. She and Floyd took many trips snowmobiling and for demolition derbies. Above all, Thelma’s greatest joy was her family and kids. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.
She is forever loved by her children: Rosemarie (Scott) Tetreau, Pat (Tony) Reid, Lora (Robert) Milnes, Suzanne (Ron) Inman, Debra (Dave) Hartman, Bruce (Carrie) Best, Judy Donnelly, David Holley, and Robert (Martha) Holley; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Bette Chambal; brother, Sheldon (Linda) Sebert; sister-in-law, Diane Sebert; as well as nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Thelma is reunited with her husband, Floyd Holley; parents L.J. & Thelma Sebert; siblings, LeRoy, Vivian, and David; and other family members.
Thelma’s family will receive visitors at Hanlin Funeral Home in Vassar from 3 p.m. – 7 p.m. on Tuesday, January 20, 2026. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 21, 2026; additional visitation will begin at 10 a.m. and last until the time of service. Pastor Tony Jacobs will officiate. Immediately following, Thelma will be laid to rest in Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris, MI with her husband, Floyd Holley.
