Tommy Coutcher Sr.

Tommy Coutcher Sr. passed away Thursday March 4, 2021 with his family at his side, at the age of 71.


Tommy was the son of the late Charles and Esther (Simmons) Coutcher. He was born in Flint Michigan on March 11, 1949. Tommy spent his earlier years in the Mayville/Millington area before residing in the Vassar area most of his adult life. Tommy served our country in the US Army where he was stationed in Korea. He retired from the Buick Motor Division of General Motors after 28 years of employment. Tommy enjoyed a number of activities including bike riding, camping, attending baseball games and concerts. He was a big fan of truck pulls and car shows. He loved to travel, and he was an avid hunter. He had a great affection for his dogs. His greatest joy in life, however, was spending time with his grandchildren.


Tommy leaves to cherish his memory his life partner Deb Kern. Children Crystal Figard, Tommy Coutcher Jr., Shaun Hansen, Tami Hansen, Laura Lacy, and Brittany Hayes (Kam). Grandchildren Jacob Figard, Brady Coutcher, Wyatt Figard, Robert Abbott, Jacob Eidson, Logan Eidson, Destanie Hansen, Brenden Eidson, Quinten Hansen, and Cambrie Mae. He also leaves three brothers Terry (Penny), Russ, and Mike Coutcher. Three sisters Sherry Cox (Jim), Pamela Coutcher, Lana Hart (Dennis), and many nieces and nephews as well as extended family and friends. Besides his parents, Tommy is preceded in death by an infant brother Charles, his brother Larry Coutcher, sisters Connie Fredricks, and Paula Cooper.


In keeping with Tommy’s wishes cremation has taken place. His urn will be interred at Millington Township Cemetery in Millington Mi. on Friday March 12th, 2021 at 1 pm. Memorial gifts of remembrance can be directed to a charity of your choice. Hanlin Funeral Home has been assisting the Coutcher family with arrangements.
