William Leach

William J. (Bill - Redman) Leach of Millington passed away at his residence Sunday December 30, 2012 Bill was 60.

Bill was the son of the late William (Bill) & Barbara (Hammond) Leach Sr. and was born on July 3, 1952 in Caro Michigan and has been a Millington resident his entire life. He was retired from the Buick Motor Division of General Motors retiring in June of 1999. Bill love and had a great passion for racing motor cycles in the T-T Class, and held several state championships. He was also a veteran and served in the US-Army and was stationed in Korea. On December 30 1997 Bill married his wife of 15 years the former Cathe Burkowski.

Bill leaves to tell his story; wife Cathe, daughters; Rene' and Alana, stepsons; and their wives, Mark & Kate Schumaker, Chris & Catherine Schumaker, and Tony Schumaker, six grandchildren; Bobby, Raven, Mariah, Samantha, Nathan, and Caleb, three sisters and two brothers in-law; Robyn & Earl Green, Peggy Leach, and Jolie & John Justice. His extended family; two brothers in-law Louie Burkowski, and Walt Burkowski, a sister in-law and husband Joanne & Larry Parker, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins, and his T-T racing family. Besides his parents Bill is also preceded in death by a son BJ Leach, two sisters Terri and Dana, a brother Ward Leach, as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, and other extended family and friends.

Cathe and the family have honored Bill's wishes and cremation has taken place. The family held a time of sharing and telling stories Saturday January 5th. 2013 at the Leach residence.
