Becky Jackett

August 5, 1969 — June 5, 2020

Becky Ann Jackett went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 5, 2020. She was 50 years old.

Becky was born to Bernd and Connie Allendorfer on August 5, 1969 in Flint, Michigan. She graduated from Millington High School in 1987. She married her high school sweetheart, Mike Jackett, on October 22, 1988 and recently celebrated their 31st wedding anniversary. After completing her associate’s degree in ASL at Mott Community College, she became a sign language interpreter for the Tuscola Intermediate School District from 1994 to 2011 where she impacted many lives. Following her career, Becky spent much of her time volunteering teaching sign language to students in Millington and surrounding areas.

Becky was a kind and compassionate person and always put others before herself. She overcame many obstacles in her life and never let them hold her back. She always had a smile on her face. She loved attending countless sporting events for her sons Andrew and Lucas, even though she never knew what was going on or what the outcomes were, she was just happy to be there to support them.

Becky was a huge advocate for individuals with disabilities, including her son Lucas. She was also involved in the Christian Women’s Club, Special Olympics, Gigi’s, and many other Down syndrome advocacy groups. Becky was a dedicated member of St. Francis X. Cabrini Catholic Church in Vassar. She loved lady bugs, frogs, I Love Lucy, taking children for rides on her amigo, and listening to Dolly Parton. She had many hobbies including scrapbooking, crafting, knitting, taking pictures, taking her service dog April on walks, shopping on QVC, and she never missed a Sunday night special of Dan Richards and the KCQ Sunday Flashback. What Becky enjoyed most of all was spending time with her family.

Becky is forever loved by her husband Mike. Her children Andrew (Danielle Weber) and Lucas Jackett. Her parents Bernd and Connie Allendorfer, her father and mother in law Don and Patty Jackett. Her brothers and sisters; Barb (Mike) deCheubel, Bonnie (Ed) Roesner, Ben (Tonya) Allendorfer and Brandon (Tara) Allendorfer. Her sister and brother in laws; Tammie Jackett, Jason Albertus, Kaley (Ken) Douglas, Clint (Danielle) Jackett, Julie Tinnin, Shaun Jackett, Nathan Wolf, and Sarah. Her special dog and friend April. As well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, and many many friends.

Becky is preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents and her father and mother in law Johnnie and Harold Albertus.
