Colleen Woelke

June 12, 1937 — November 21, 2021

Our beloved Mom, Gram and Gigi Colleen Ann (Sheply) Woelke, age 84, passed away at her home, surrounded by her family, after a lengthy illness.

Colleen was born on June 12, 1937 in Rose City, Michigan to George and Mildred Sheply. After she graduated from Rose City High School in 1955, she met her future husband Theodore Edward Woelke.  They were united in marriage on August 20, 1955.  They moved to Millington, Michigan which became their forever home.

Connie worked at Frankenmuth Bank and Trust in Millington, Michigan where she met many of her closest friends.  Connie’s family would describe her as fun loving, sassy, and never wanting to miss life’s biggest events. Mom loved to shop and could never pass up a sale. Connie’s family was very important to her. She loved when her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren would come for a visit.

Connie never remarried after the death of her husband Theodore (Ted) 33 years ago.  She is survived by her brother Gary Sheply (Dalene) Whittemore, MI. Children:  Kim Torrey (Dale) of Millington, MI, Tammy Grover (Dave) of Warrensburg, MO,  Michele Hampton (Craig) of Rogers, AR.   Grandchildren:  Erik Torrey, Kaitlyn Woolwine (Billy), Rylee Turner (George),  Andrew Grover (Alexandra),  Shelby Hampton, Trevor Hampton (Allison), Brooke Hampton.  Great-Grandchildren:  Peyton Woolwine, Kolton Woolwine, Landon Grover, Emilia Hampton,Millie Turner,  and Evelyn Grover (coming at Christmas).  And her dearest friend Connie Withers.

Connie was preceded in death by her husband  Theodore Woelke, her parents, George and Mildred Sheply and her brother Ivan Sheply.

Our family would like to thank our mom’s caregivers for their dedication and excellent care.

Connie will be cremated and a memorial service will be planned for the spring of 2022.
