Dale Peche

Dale A. Peche of Millington passed away late Thursday afternoon September 10, 2020 at the age of 85.

Dale was born on June 22, 1935 in Flint, Michigan and was the son of the late Paul & Helen (Brenner) Peche. He served in the United States Army for four years in Germany where he met and married Miss Valerie Schmied, on October 16th, 1958, and together they have celebrated 61 years of marriage. Dale throughout the years of his career as a mechanic owned and operated several gas-stations, his last before he retired was the Total Gas & Auto Repair on the South East corner of M-15 and East Main St. Dale was also very active in the community. He served 20 plus years on the Millington-Arbela Twp. Fire Dept. and some of those years he spent as Assistant Chief. He was also a long-time member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where he served the church in many capacities; as an Elder, Usher along with many other church related committees Dale loved to golf, he was on the course Wednesday morning, Thursday evenings, and his time with good friends on Sunday morning.

Dale leaves his wife Valerie. He also leaves a daughter and son in-law, Angi (Howard) Nelson, a son and daughter in-law Mike (Debbie) Peche, five grandchildren: Natessa, Nathan, Jason, Michelle, and Tonya. He also leaves nine great grandchildren, and his God-Daughter Sherry Sebert, several nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Besides his parents, Dale is preceded in death by a brother Donald Peche.

The Peche family will receive friends at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington, Michigan on Tuesday September 15, 2020 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday September 16, 2020 at 1:00 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Millington. The burial will follow at the Millington Twp. Cemetery with Pastor James Bruner delivering the funeral message and closing prayer at the cemetery. Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington has been assisting with the arrangements.
