Esther (Schultz) Wood

Mrs. Esther (Schultz) Wood of Flint, Michigan passed away Sunday August 4, 2019 at the age of 87.

Esther was born in Flint, Michigan on September 9, 1931, and was the daughter of the late Clarence and Laura (McClain) Schultz.  She married James R. Wood on September 20, 1947; James has preceded her in death in March of 2004. Esther retired from McLaren Hospital in Flint, MI in 1994, working 19 years as an Operating Room Tech.

Esther leaves to cherish her memory her family.  Son, James (Shirley) Wood, daughter Mary Bomsta, eight grandchildren, several great and great-great grandchildren, and other extended family.  Besides her husband and parents, Esther is also preceded in death by a brother Douglas, and a sister Mary.

Friends may call at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington, MI on Thursday Aug. 8, 2019 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm. Funeral services will begin at 12:00, with the burial to resume at 3:00 pm at the Crestwood Memorial Gardens in Grand Blanc, Michigan. Memorial gifts of remembrance can be directed to a charity of one’s choice.  Hanlin Funeral Home has been assisting the Wood family.
