James (Jim) Mangold

MILLINGTON – James Lloyd Mangold, age 41, our giving, positive, and loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2022.

Jim was born in Flint, Michigan, on November 24, 1980, to James and Pamela (Laird) Mangold. Jim graduated from Millington High School Class of 2003. Jim married the love of his life Shannon on September 1, 2001. Together they celebrated 20 years of marriage and have a beautiful daughter together. Jim was passionate about giving back to his community, boating, cooking, late night infomercial shopping, the casino, gardening, collecting gnomes, being an American, and always giving those who were sick like him the Hope to keep going and fighting.  Above all, Jim’s greatest joy was being devoted to and spending time with his family and friends. Jim’s take charge, life of the party, and jokester personality will be missed dearly by so many.

Jim is forever loved by his wife; Shannon, daughter; Lexi Mangold, parents; James (Lana) and Pamela Mangold, siblings: Larry (Brandy) Mangold, Shasheen (Aaron) Snider, Brigitte (Ed) Schatz, Shaun Mangold, and Missiah Mangold, nieces, and nephews: Taylor, Brian, Rylei, Haley, Megan, Zachary, Addison, Devyn, Cheyenne, James, Jaidyn, and Pammie. Dogs: Butters, and Milo. As well as extend family and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his brother Brian Mangold and grandparents.

The family would like to invite you to Hanlin Funeral Home (4823 Main St. Millington, Mi 48746) on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, for a time of visiting from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A celebration of Jim’s life will be at Hanlin Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, beginning at 11:00 a.m. with a time of visiting before the service at 10:00 a.m.
