Mary Michael

Mary Jo Michael passed away on January 11, 2021. She was 83.

Mary Jo was born to the late Michael and Mary Bodag on January 30, 1937. Mary was married to the love of her life James Michael for 66 years and together they had four children. Mary Jo was proud of and dedicated to her family. She was an Eastern Star member. For many years she loved helping the Millington Arbela Fire Department with their funnel cake and pancake fund raisers. She rarely missed her grandchildren's events. Cheering them on was an event to watch in itself. If you ever sat next to her during a boxing match you you would walk away with a bruised arm for sure.  Mary Jo loved the out of doors. She loved hunting, fishing, setting by the camp fire and just walking or riding through the woods at the cabin. Christmas was one of her favorite times of the year. She loved shopping for presents for her children and grandchildren.

Mary Jo will be forever loved by her husband James. Children; David Michael, James (Carolyn) Michael Jr, Pat (Mary) Michael and Yvonne (Mark) Coleman. Many many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. As well as many nieces, nephews and many extended family and friends.

Besides her mother and father she is preceded in death by her siblings; Barbra Hallwood, Shirley Ann (Cecil) Michael, and William (Billy) Bodag.

The family would like to invite family and friends to Hanlin Funeral Home on Saturday, January 16, 2021 form 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for a time of visiting and the funeral for Mary Jo will begin at 1:00 p.m.
