Raymond (Ray) Cayer

Mr. Raymond Joseph (Ray) Cayer of Millington, Michigan passed away early Monday morning September 7, 2020 at the age of 77.

Ray was born on December 10, 1942 in Rock, Michigan in Delta County located in the Upper Peninsula and was the son of the late Albert & Florence (Trumble) Cayer. Ray retired from General Motors, retiring from the AC-Spark Plug Division after 30 years of employment. For 40 plus years Ray and his wife Beth Ann along with their son Greg owned and operated Dimond Saddlery located on Birch Run Road in Arbela Twp. Ray loved the business of the showing, raising, and selling quality horses. Clients came from all over the US and the world to by horses and saddlery items from Ray. Greg wants everyone to know he plans on keeping the shop going so Rays legacy can live on.

Ray leaves his son and daughter in-law; Greg and Lisa Marie Cayer, a granddaughter Channing Vandel. He also leaves a sister Darlene White, and a brother Clifford (Skip) Cayer, as well as other extended family and friends. Besides his parents Ray is preceded in death by his wife Beth Ann, and a brother Marvin.

Greg has honored his dads request and cremation has taken place. There will be no formal services, Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington, MI has been assisting with the arrangements. Memorial Gifts of Remembrance can be directed to a charity of one’s choice.
