Raymond (Ray) Louks

Raymond Lee Louks of Millington MI and Brooksville FL went home to be with the Lord on June 24 2020 in Tampa FL.

Ray was born September 4 1940 to Franklin and Laurel (Weiler) Louks in Mayville, MI. Ray was a 1959 graduate of Mayville High School and then went on to proudly serve 4 years in the United States Navy. Ray then worked for 30 years as a Machinist for GM in Pontiac, Saginaw and Defiance OH.

Ray married his favorite neighbor' Ferol Fern McCartney on April 11 1964, and they had a son John Raymond. Ray and Ferol celebrated 31 years of marriage before her death on October 20 1995. Ray married Marilyn (Humphreys) on August 10 1996 and they enjoyed nearly 24 years together.

Ray was a quiet man of God and served in many areas of ministry in Baptist and Nazarene Churches in Michigan and Florida. Ray enjoyed restoring, building and refurbishing everything from airplanes to tractors, houses to boat docks, often with his son John by his side. He was always available to help anyone in need.

Ray is survived by his wife Marilyn, son John (Amy), grandson Thomas (Christina) Louks, granddaughter Rebecca Louks, and great grandsons Alex and Axel Louks. Stepson Robert Humphreys and stepdaughter Rosie (Tom) Socha, several step grandchildren and great grandchildren. Brothers Ralph (Nancy) Louks, Don (Cheryl) Louks, sisters Marilyn (Stan) Bickel, Marie (Don) LaCount, and Norma (Alan) Turek, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Ray was preceded in death by two infant sons Joseph and Daren, wife Ferol, parents Franklin and Laurel Louks, brother Alvin Louks and sister-in-law Sherry Louks, and step daughter Deanna Church.

Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 PM July 1 2020 at Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington MI, celebration of life at 11:00 AM Thursday July 2, 2020,at the graveside  at the Denmark Twp Cemetery Reese, Michigan. In lieu of flowers you may make a memorial contribution to Vassar Church of the Nazarene.
