William Batrow

Mr. William H. (Billy) Batrow of Millington, MI passed away early Tuesday evening January 8, 2019 at the age of 86.

Billy was born in Watertown Township on August 3, 1932 and was the son of the late William and Maude (Riness) Batrow. Billy served in the US-Army in the 53rd Tank Division during the Korean War. After the war when he returned home and went to work for General Motors. Billy worked 30 years for the Fisher Body Plant of GM as a crane operator. Billy loved going to yard sales, he loved finding things that needed work, once repaired he’d put items out for sale. he loved shooting pool, and running the roads, that was Billy

Billy leaves his daughter. Debra (Joel) Buchinger, he leaves also a sister; Ramona Hemingway, his extended family; Robert (Bob) Ramsey, sister in-law Donna Batrow, and several nieces, nephews and other extended family. Besides Billy’s parents, he’s also preceded in death by his wives, Shirley, and Sydney, brothers; Glenn, Stanley, Wesley, and Lyle, sisters; Larene, Genevieve Leona, and Evelyn.

The Batrow family will receive friends at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington, MI on Friday beginning at 11:00 am up until the funeral services begin. Funeral services for Billy will also be held at the Hanlin Funeral Home and will begin at 1:00 pm Friday January 11, 2019. Private burial will be at the Millington Township Cemetery. Memorial gifts of remembrance can be directed to a charity of your choice.
